A global, multi-billion-dollar corporation faced significant resistance from employees when transitioning to cloud-based tools, specifically Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint. Despite the technical rollout being complete, adoption lagged due to low confidence, unclear benefits, and inconsistent training across departments. This gap jeopardized collaboration, data accessibility, and ROI on enterprise-wide technology investments.
To address this challenge, I designed and led a multi-layered, organization-wide learning program tailored to over 6,000 employees. The initiative blended live instructor-led training, microlearning modules, targeted department breakouts, and downloadable help guides to support diverse learner needs. Each component was anchored in learner-centered design, using a modular approach that made cloud adoption approachable, relevant, and actionable across roles and global locations.
The training plan integrated real-time feedback, behavioral metrics, and adoption dashboards to track progress and pivot where needed- ensuring not only training completion but behavioral change.
Analysis (ADDIE)
I partnered with executives and IT leaders to assess low adoption of OneDrive and SharePoint. Surveys and usage data revealed user resistance and gaps in awareness. This aligned with UbD Stage 1, where I defined the desired results: confident, consistent tool usage across departments.
Design (ADDIE + UbD)
Using UbD’s backward design, I set clear learning outcomes and aligned assessments to business goals (UbD Stage 2). I mapped lessons to user roles and prioritized relevance ensuring each module connected to real tasks and outcomes.
Development (ADDIE)
I created all training assets end-to-end: live decks, breakout sessions, job aids, and microlearning videos. Content followed UbD Stage 3 structured for clarity, accessibility, and progressive understanding.
Implementation (ADDIE)
I delivered a global rollout with localized breakouts and live support. My facilitation style modeled behaviors and built confidence, reinforcing both technical skills and cultural shift.
Evaluation (ADDIE + UbD)
I tracked adoption metrics (usage, etc.), ran pulse surveys, and iterated content based on feedback. This ensured continuous alignment between learner experience and business impact.
I served as the strategic learning architect and program lead, overseeing the end-to-end design and implementation of the global change management and learning initiative. Drawing on my 25 years of corporate experience and my director-level leadership position, I worked directly with executive stakeholders to understand organizational pain points, align learning with business outcomes, and drive adoption of OneDrive and SharePoint across 6,000+ global employees and 12 different languages.
I led the instructional design, facilitation strategy, eLearning content creation, and department-specific breakout planning. I also developed metrics-based assessments to track adoption and refine the training program for continuous improvement.
My approach combines instructional design expertise, technical fluency, deep corporate cultural insight, and sharp business acumen to deliver scalable, high-impact learning solutions.
